Registration

Please register for the September 1 bi-state Bird Walk that begins in the parking lot of Powderhorn Lake and Marsh. To get there, take the I-94 Bishop Ford Freeway and exit at 130th Street. Drive east for 1.5 miles to Brainard Avenue and turn right. Take Brainard 1.8 miles to the entrance on the left slide of the street.

​Birders should wear long pants, sturdy shoes and long-sleeved shirts.

New information on AWLI’s Labor Day Bird Walk.

1.  Remember to bring binoculars.
   
2. Our stay at Powderhorn Lake will be more about the improvements made during recent years to the wetland habitat there and less about actually spotting the birds.
   
3. The visit to Mitigation Wetlands is not accessible at the entrance leading to the marshy areas for those confined to wheelchairs.​
