Become a Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities Abound at AWLI

It takes a community of volunteers each year to help AWLI reach its goals.  And each year there seems to be more for AWLI to accomplish.  You can help us achieve even more.

If you have been thinking about involving yourself with ways to give back to the community, AWLI welcomes you.

Check out other pages on this Web site to learn more about AWLI and the volunteer opportunities available.  Give special attention to the membership page.

If you have been thinking about involving yourself as a volunteer with a

non-for-profit organization, send us an e-mail at: AWLI@sbcglobal.net.

or call us at 219 933-7149 and tell us about yourself and your interests.

We match our volunteers with tasks that they say they would enjoy.  Volunteers usually have something in mind when they approach AWLI.  We know it is important to place them where they are most comfortable.

If you desire to expand your base of knowledge or wish to encounter new challenges,

active participation in AWLI will fulfill these needs.

Exotics, native species, non-point pollution, watershed and all sorts of acronyms will  enter your vocabulary as an AWLI volunteer.

If one can never have enough friends, you’ll find some intriguing ones

as an AWLI volunteer.

Your experience as an AWLI volunteer will remind you of those past adventures that may have begun with some trepidation, but have enriched your life in ways not foreseen.

If you desire to expand your skills, AWLI can help you learn them as a volunteer.

AWLI will then serve as a reference when you seek employment in a new field.  And participation in AWLI will look good on your resumé.

Whatever your interest, you won’t regret

volunteering with AWLI!
